2007 EMPLOYEE RECOGNITION

Dennis (D.J.) Hutton of Richland MO  has been driving a truck for Opies since March 1987 and since that time has logged over two and a half million miles.  Dennis is truly a professional driver.  In appreciation of Dennis's 20 years of hard work and dedication to safety, he received a $2000 bonus."
T.J. Geiger has been working as a Mechanic for Opies since August 1987.  He has been keeping Opies trucks safely on the road for 20 years.  He keeps things running at the both the Eldon and Memphis terminals.  In appreciation of 20 years of service and dedication, T.J. received a $2000 bonus.
Over-the-road driver, Tony Keene of California MO was selected as the 2007 Driver of the Year.  Tony has been employed with Opies since December of 1993.  During his 14 years of employment, Tony has logged well over one and a half million accident-free miles with Opies.  His years of service, dedication to safety and to providing our customers with excellent customer was considered as he was selected.  We are working on details for a special trip for Tony for being selected as "2007 Driver of the Year.
Dale Adkins of Versailles MO, also known by his CB handle "Couch Potato", has been driving a truck for a total of 30 years, 10 of those years for Opies.  In appreciation of 10 years of hard work and dedication to safety, Dale received a $1000 bonus.
Over-the-road driver Raul Sanchez, of Shallowater TX,  also known by his CB handle "Me Too", has been driving for Opies since March 1997.  He has been driving trucks for a total of 30 years.  In appreciation of Raul's 10 years of hard work and dedication to safety, he received a $1000 bonus.
Bob Maher has been driving a farm route truck for Opies since August 1997.  Having been a farmer previously, he always enjoys talking to the dairy farmers.  In appreciation of Bob's 10 years of hard work and long hours hauling milk from the farms, he received a $1000 bonus.

2006 EMPLOYEE RECOGNITION

Over-the-road driver Terry Wade of Windsor MO was selected as the 2006 Driver of the Year.  Terry has driven trucks for 30 years and has driven over a million miles for Opies during his 13 years of employment.  His years of service, dedication to safety and to providing our customers with excellent service was considered as he was selected.  He was awarded a special trip for being selected as "2006 Employee of the Year".
J.D. Claypool has been working in Pumpover at Opies since May of 1986, just days after graduating from High School.  He is now Tank Wash Supervisor at our Eldon terminal.  J.D. received a $2000 bonus in appreciation of his 20 years of hard work.
Over-the-road driver, David McCoy, also known by his CB handle, "Whirly Bird", started working for Opies in January 1996.  Prior to to driving a truck he was a helicopter mechanic for 16 years.  In appreciation of 10 years of hard work and dedication to safety, David received a $1000 bonus. 

2005 EMPLOYEE RECOGNITION

Over-the-road driver John Cavender of LInn MO, also known by his CB handle, "Mad Hatter" was selected as the 2005 Driver of the Year.  John's years of service, dedication to safety and to providing our customers with excellent service was considered as he was selected.  John was awarded a special trip for being selected as "2005 Driver of the Year".
Daryle Hill, also known by his CB handle "Super Trucker", started working for Opies in July 1975.  He began as an over-the-road driver and after 14 years of being on the road, he stared working in dispatch.  Daryle also does Customer Service.  Daryle is very dedicated to his job and puts in long hours.  Daryle received a special surprise gift in appreciation of 30 years of service and dedication.  
John Gladden of Iberia MO, also known by his CB handle, "Slow Poke", has been driving for Opies since May 1985.  He is a very safe and professional driver who provides excellent customer service.  John received a $2000 bonus for his 20 years of hard work and dedication to safety.
Over-the-road driver, J.C. McCarter, of Annapolis MO, also known as "Jay Bird", stared with Opies in June 1995.  Prior to being a truck driver, he was a welder for 15 years.  In appreciation of J.C.'s 10 years of hard work and dedication to safety, he received a $1000 bonus.
